The ultimate scouting mission. We found the highest-potential wonderkid from every single nation. Some of these will surprise you!
Football Manager players love a wonderkid list for one simple reason: there is something deeply satisfying about believing you have spotted the future before everyone else does. Some countries are obvious. Brazil will always have a conveyor belt of ridiculous talent, Spain will keep producing technical freaks. But Football Manager has always been at its most interesting when it sends you looking a bit further afield.
That is what this list is about. Rather than just rounding up the usual names everybody already knows, this is a country-by-country look at the single highest-potential wonderkid from every nation represented in the game’s database. In some cases, that means genuine global superstars who are already halfway to becoming the face of the next decade. In others, it means obscure prospects tucked away in leagues, academies and corners of the football world that most players would never think to scout.
For this, I pulled the potential ability data directly from the Football Manager real-time editor, so these rankings are based on the game’s own internal numbers rather than reputation, transfer fees or social media hype. And if a country is not mentioned, that is not because it was skipped or forgotten about. Quite literally, there were no players from that nation in the database for this piece, so there was nobody to include. At the end I’ll rank every country by the potential of their best wonderkid.
If you enjoy these, then make sure you check out the Best Wonderkid from every club in England article.
