Anyway, without further ado, let’s get stuck into Gameweek 35’s Buy, Sell or Hold decisions. We will be leaving out obvious Buy options such as Nico O’Reilly and Erling Haaland, not least given they both double in GW36.
BUY
Easy buy. 8 returns in last 7. Forest have also scored 13 in last 4. Now faces 2 teams in abysmal form in Chelsea and Newcastle. Could easily see a few more hauls here.
BUY
Another easy buy. With the City double fast approaching, having 3 City players is absolutely essential. With Semenyo being the one rotated in the FA Cup, it would appear that Cherki is now the more rotation proof option. He is also playing like a man possessed right now. Essential for the title race so will probably get lion’s share of minutes.
HOLD
Potential injury doubt means Okafor finds himself in the hold category. Were he fully fit he would certainly be in the Buy category. However, given he is a doubt, there is every chance he faces a minutes restriction even if he does start.
HOLD
Missed the boat a bit with the Wolves, Palace and Everton fixtures. Brentford and Arsenal are not the best 2 next fixtures. They’re not terrible so he’s not a sell but he’s definitely not a buy. As Gen-Z would say, It’s giving points chasing.
BUY
You know Leeds have good fixtures when even I am listing DCL as a buy. Burnley and Spurs back to back are about as good as it gets. Even if you don’t believe in him as a finisher, he will surely get so many chances that he hast to put some away.
HOLD
The definition of a hold. He can definitely be a buy if you have plenty of Free Transfers, but if you have under 3 then do not buy him. Villa may rest players in the league with one eye on Europe. They also face City and Liverpool in GW37 and GW38, so this is likely a 2 week punt if anything.
HOLD
Not worth a transfer out at all, but we just prefer Cherki for that 3rd City slot. Had better minutes of late, Cheaper and lower ownership. Especially considering WC32 is heavy Semenyo compared to Cherki.
HOLD
Very unlucky not to bag against United. West Ham a great fixture next. Can think about selling after that however.
SELL
Thats right. 5 blanks in a row and Arsenal are finding themselves in frequently low scoring affairs. No Defcon threshold in his last 6 either. Arsenal slot better used on defence or even Eze.
BUY
Upcoming double and can pick up points on both ends. Would also be cautious however, considering 2 of their next 3 are against City and Bournemouth attacks. Palace will also likely rotate a lot given European commitments and Prem limbo. Munoz likely a lock though.
BUY
Unlike other Palace options, Canvot has been a DefCon beast. Meaning even in tougher fixtures against City, he is still good for a 4 pointer.
BUY
One of our favourite buys this week on wildcard. If not on wildcard the transfer can wait a week. rotates very nicely with WC heavy teams like Brighton and Leeds.
SELL
Not convinced by Chelsea’s ‘New Manager Bounce’. Weren’t impressive against Leeds and struggling to score in general right now. Too many good strikers in the mix right now for any Chelsea assets to be considered.
HOLD
3rd most transferred out player this week. Fulham struggling to score a bit of late, but have also had some tricky fixtures. Can be trusted in good fixtures such as GW36-GW38. Potentially even a buy candidate in GW36/GW37, assuming he looks more interested. Do not sell though.
SELL
With UCL football all but locked up, expect United to rotate their squad a lot during the end of season run. Mbeumo will likely be a prime candidate for this. Safer options in midfield. Also now on 7 blanks in a row and averaging 0.1 xGI per 90 in last 5.
HOLD
Not a sell yet as Liverpool playing decent football but managers shouldn’t expect a high ceiling. Can be sold if you have a lot of transfers in the bank.
BUY/HOLD
Easy Hold. Tricky fixtures but very efficient Defcon floor and improved defence. Is only a buy if you already have defenders and Nico O’Reilly. Otherwise you should prioritise those transfers in first.
SELL
Takes up too much budget considering his team and individual performances. Similar story to Joao Pedro. I’ll need to see the new manager bounce before I believe it.
SELL
Currently dealing with a hip injury. Given United’s low stakes remaining fixtures, expect him to face a minutes restriction.
SELL
Too much rotation risk with Havertz. Even though Havertz is nursing a knock. It doesn’t appear he’ll miss at maximum more than 1 game. Also Arsenal not scoring too much at present. Better options up top. Inefficient use of Arsenal 3rd slot. Prioritise defence.
