Just the 3GWs to go before and eventful PL season comes to a close!

The title has been decided and the relegations confirmed, but there are still a decent amount of teams fighting for the UCL, UEL and conference league spots. Outside of the 4 teams I mentioned these are the teams that have everything to play for to get the European spots:

Arsenal
Man city
Newcastle United
Chelsea
Nottingham Forest
Aston villa
Bournemouth
Brentford
Brighton

These are the teams that will go for it and have some sort of motivation to push on and thus will play their strongest XI.

1. Aston Villa

With all to play for and champions league spot on the line villa will have to play their strongest XI now till the end of the season.

🥇 Rogers: Probably the best Villa player to own currently with the absolute certainty of his minutes. Bang in form with a goal and 3 assists in the last 5 GWs. Villa were knocked out of the UCL and FA cup and they would want to finish the season on a high.

🥈 Watkins: He was out of favour in the league with Rashford taking his position at 9 for a few games recently. With Rashford being out for the season with an injury Watkins is one of the best forwards to own for the remainder of the season. He has 3 goals and an assist in the last 5 GWs despite playing very limited minutes. There’s still a minutes concern with Watkins as he was subbed off at 70′.

NOTE: I am not convinced by the Villa defence for the final 3GWs BOU, TOT, MUN are decent attackers and all 3 could score.

2. Brentford

They have one of the best fixture runs to end the season; they play 3 of the worst defences in the league. Brentford also have a thin chance of getting the conference league next season.

🥇 Mbeumo: 2 goals and 2 assists in the last 5 GWs despite the team not performing as well. Penalties is his biggest positive and Brentford regularly keep winning a few. Mbeumo is also one of the best captaincy options this week alongside the Man City guys.

🥈 Wissa: The duo of Wissa and Mbeumo have combined for 47 goals and assists this season which is the most in Brentford’s history. Wissa has outscore mbeumo with 3 goals and 2 assists in the last 5 GWs. He could be a great replacement for Mateta which people will look to sell in GW36

NOTE: The best part of Mbeumo captaincy this week is he has 64 pts in 5 GWs vs the promoted teams this season 👀💥

14 and 19 pts vs SOU
2 and 14 pts vs LEI
15 pts vs IPS

3. Man City

Man City are have picked up form recently and are looking a their very best, they also have the best fixture run till the end of the season. They would potentially have a DGW36 of SOU and BOU.

🥇 De Bruyne: He is by far the best City attacker I would own if you already don’t have him. He started all of the last 5 games which is the first time he has started 5 consecutive games in the league this season and looks injury and niggle free. 2 goals, an assist and 31 pts in the last 5 GWs. His final 3 games of his Man City career are ahead and undoubtedly he would like to make a big impact.

🥈 Marmoush: He was the best Man City attacker up until last GW but it looks like his role has changed for a few games now and he isn’t the main target man in the team for Pep anymore. With Haaland being back on the bench last GW, though he didn’t play a minute, I expect him to get some minutes before the season ends and that might dent Marmoush’ appeal. He is still a good hold and definitely not a sell.

🥉 Gvardiol: He has 5 goals this season the most among defenders and 3 clean sheets in the last 5 GWs. His attacking potential has gone down totally since pep shifted him from LB to CB but he still is the best defensive option for clean sheets.

NOTE: Man City are the first game after the deadline so we may get some early leaks so these recommendations are all subject to the City starting lineup.

4. Nottingham Forest

Forest have a decent run of fixtures to end the season where they face LEI, WHU who have not been defensively sound lately.

🥇 Wood: 2nd amongst strikers for FPL points this season and only Salah, Haaland and Isak has more goals than him this season. He will be a very popular transfer in for the final few GWs , his form has dipped lately with only 1 goal in his last 8 games but the fixtures are amazing to get end the season on a very high.

🥈 Milenkovic, Neco, Sels: The defence is a goldmine and a lottery, just pick any of the 3 and you would be good to go. They are the 2nd best defence in the league and only Liverpool have kept more clean sheets than Forest. This is how I would rank them in the order of preference:

  1. Neco Williams
  2. Milenkovic
  3. Sels
