Double GW36 or No Double?

On Saturday, May 17, the same weekend as Gameweek 37 in Fantasy, the FA Cup Final will take place, and this may result in a blank week for City and Crystal Palace due to their qualification to the Final after beating N. Forrest and Aston Villa respectively.

There is also a chance that they feature in GW37 by rescheduling their games in the midweek. It can be pushed to the midweek of GW36 as well which may result into a double in 37 and a blank in 36!

The 2 games are: Crystal Palace Vs Wolves and Man City Vs AFC Bournemouth.

We can confirm that both teams won’t play at the weekend in FPL and we will get a reschedule announcement to either GW36 or 37 very soon!

Be patient and remain flexible in your transfer plans, this is important in relation to all the different scenarios that still need to be taken into account in order to properly navigate the final month of the season.

Wild Card Essentials

For managers that have their 2nd Wildcard still intact, I think this is their last chance for activating it! Many managers loaded up on DGW33 assets and others have some BGW34 assets and have to make a restructure for their squad. Some players like Rashford along with Newcastle, Villa or Arsenal assets should be sold. I don’t say sell your Arsenal players but I believe tripling up on their assets is too much now. Arsenal have already lost the Premier League title and will focus on their game vs PSG in UCL. We may get heavy rotation from Arteta next weekend and they will face LIV in GW36 as well!

My WC targets will be the following:

  • Wood or NFO defenders: They compete for UCL qualification and have good form and fixtures! Apart from CHE in GW38, they can win and get CS in upcoming GWs comfortably.
  • Mbeumo, Wissa: Brentford have proved their attacking quality and goal scoring ability this season. Both Mbeumo and Wissa are top targets for the easy run.
  • Keep Palace assets and Gvardiol: Good fixtures and potential DGW36.
  • Salah: Compete for new records in the league and have no stress or busy schedule.
  • Bowen: Differential pick, faces TOT, mun, ips in next 4, had 15 shots and 8 chances created in the last 6 GWs.
  • Everton Defender: Will be on the list for their games in 35, 37 vs SOU, IPS.

Rashford Replacements

Rashford has injured his hamstring and will likely miss the reminder of the season. Villa have lost to Crystal Palace in FA Cup and won’t get a Double GW again this season as well. I think it’s obvious to sell Rashford and the following will be my potential replacements:

  • Mbeumo: He should be a top priority prior to his game vs the struggling Spurs. The 2nd top scorer in FPL has very easy schedule till the end of the season. He has great form and fixtures and a great captaincy option in 36 when Salah faces Arsenal!
  • Bowen: As mentioned before he is a great differential and I believe many managers will get both of them very soon.

Wood or Wissa?

  • Both have easy schedule.
  • Wood is a penalty taker.
  • Wissa’s points can be covered by Mbeumo, but, Wood has no obvious cover.
  • Wood offering a great captaincy pick against Leicester in 36 when Salah faces ARS.

I think both are great targets but Mbeumo and Wood should be my top priority.

What to Do With?

  • Foden and Savino: I think they are a sell due to the uncertainty and minutes risk recently. However, I may wait till reaching any early leaks about City starting 11 as they play on Friday night.
  • Saka: Saka may get a reduced minutes this weekend ahead of their game vs PSG in UCL, in 36 they faces Arsenal, and 37 will be a Newcastle game. I don’t like keeping Saka to be honest and wouldn’t mind selling him at.
