The main man FPL Goat is back to help you through the crunch time of the season, including navigating GW34 with the 4 FA Cup Semi-Finalists blanking. This is a pivotal Gameweek for many managers as we head towards the final weeks of the season, so making the correct decisions will be key and the Goat has you covered!

  • The Transfer Wizard is a great tool for customised transfer recommendations based on budget and position.
  • FPL Player Rankings also provides clear lists of the best FPL players across each position for budget and premium

The biggest BGW of the season is upon us with the 4 teams that had a DGW33 all having a BGW34

Arsenal
Aston villa
Palace
Man City

Almost all managers are loaded up with players from these 4 teams going into BGW34 and thus if you have a FREE HIT chip left this is the best time to use it to maximize getting players from teams that have a game this week.

As per FPL’s data, 70% of the top 10k still have their FH chip left and I’m predicting 90% of those will activate it this week with a 10% using it in GW36 or 37.

Even if you have 8-9 playing players + free transfers I would suggest to not carry your chip further and maximize playing it this week in BGW34, which also allows you to save your free transfers

1. Brentford

The team that has been massively overlooked, potentially because they haven’t had a DGW all season.

🥇 Mbeumo: Since the chip season when everyone sold him on wildcard GW31 he has scored 3 goals and an assist in 4GWs playing the likes of NEW, CHE, ARS, BHA. He now plays an out of form Forest team who has dropped from 3rd position to 6th in the table and MUN, IPS, WOL who are all bottom 5 in the league.

🥈 Wissa: One of the top forwards to own from now till the end of the season. In the last 10 GWs he has scored 5 goals and an assist, he is now 4th for most goals for forwards just after Isak, Haaland and Wood. Nottingham Forest in the last 5GWs have conceded 67 shots and 9 big chances and are currently massively overperforming their underlying defensive data. A double up of Mbeumo and Wissa on FH looks essential.

2. Fulham

Playing a Southampton team who are relegated. With their fate being confirmed already Southampton will come out attacking and not hold back for survival and with one of the worst defensive numbers in PL history. Fulham have a chance to score 3-4 even more against them. Southampton have conceded 3 or more goals 6 times in the last 10 GWs and I don’t see that changing this week too.

🥇 Sessegnon: A £4.1m defender in FPL in form playing against the worst team in the league as a winger. One of the best punts of the season you could take, he gives me lord Lundstram vibes this week. He has 2 goals and as many assists in the last 5 GWs.

🥈 Jimenez: With Smith-Rowe and Muniz potentially out injured for GW34 Jimenez could see his minutes pretty much secure against Southampton. He has usually been playing 60 odd minutes for just comes on after 70 minutes with his minutes being managed. He isn’t a lock in free hit teams but a great punt if you are all out targetting Southampton.

3. Liverpool

Liverpool this Sunday in GW34 vs Spurs will be playing to wrap of the league title which is absolutely well deserved in Slot’s first season. Liverpool have scored a ridiculous 27 goals in the last 10 meetings vs spurs in all competitions. In those 10 games Liverpool have scored 2+ goals a whopping 8 times which means it’s going to be a cricket score combined between the two sides this GW.

🥇 Salah: The obvious choice and going to be the most captained played as well this GW. Spurs have conceded 10 goals in the last 5 GWs and 2+ goals thrice in that time.

🥈 Luis Diaz: The smart move going into the GW facing one of the worst defences in the league is to double up on the attackers against them and Luis Diaz is their 2nd best attacker. He has gone absolutely unnoticed and is now the 4th highest scoring midfielder in the game. Surety of minutes and 2 goals and 2 assists in the last 5GWs.

NOTE: Not sure I would be recommending the Liverpool defence as much because the TAA and Bradley situation is still unclear on who starts next GW. Also Liverpool have kept just 1 clean sheet vs Spurs in the last 10 matchups in all comps, which doesn’t fill me with confidence on a clean sheet.

4. Newcastle United

Playing one of the worst defences in the league who are relegated and absolutely nothing to play for.

🥇 Isak: Currently going through a dip in form for some GWs now but he is the Forward to own this week.

🥈 Murphy: 3 goals and 3 assist in the last 5 GWs he should be one of the first names in your FH34. I read a stay on X which said “Only salah has more attacking returns since Murphy started being a regular from GW14” which is insane in itself and shows how good he has been. At just £5.2m he is an absolute no brainer.

🥉 Livramento: 2 clean sheets and an assist in the last 5GWs i wouldn’t say he is essential but has looked insanely attacking to get his place in your teams.

NOTE: With the top teams not playing this week there won’t be any budget issues and so you could also consider Trippier in your teams.

5. Wolves

Wolves are currently unbeaten in the last 6 GWs with 5 wins in that period. They have scored in all those games and are now facing a Leicester team which are relegated and have conceded the most goals away from home this season.

🥇 Cunha: He has 3 goals and an assist in the last 5 starts and has a crazy 19 goal contributions in 25 games. He has currently been managed in the league becayse of his disciplinary issues and was benched as soon he came back from suspension. His spot had been acquired by Bellegarde, who is currently a doubt with a knock. Cunha’s minutes will largely depend on Bellegarde’s injury so keep an eye on the press conference before locking Cunha in.

🥈 Strand-Larsen: Strand-Larsen is in red hot form largely benefiting from Cunha’s suspension. He has 5 goals in the last 5 GWs and scored in 4 consecutive games before blanking last GW vs Manchester United. If Cunha remains a minutes risk Larsen should be in all the FH teams vs Leicester.

Note: Although I like both the attackers I don’t fancy a double up on Wolves attackers which means putting all of your eggs in one basket and not diversifying.

🥉 Ait-Nouri: Currently among the first defenders to own in GW34. He has a crazy 4 goals and 6 assists this season which is crazy for a defender. He is playing a Leicester team who have the 2nd last goals in league away from home and have scored just 2 goals in the last 10 GWs failing to score in 9 of them taking wolves odds of keeping a clean sheet very high.

Other Teams To Target:

1. West Ham: Bowen if you fancy a punt vs Brighton

2. Chelsea: Palmer and Cucurella. Chelsea have scored 15 goals in the last 5 league games vs Everton and palmer scored a hat-trick at home last time he met Everton. Cucurella is a very high upside pick if you fancy a Chelsea defender, I don’t see them keeping a clean sheet but Cucu is playing really high up the pitch to register an attacking return.

3. Bournemouth: Kluivert and Evanilson. Although Man United have only conceded 6 goals in the kast 5 GWs but they have conceded 10 big chances in that time meaning the opponents have under-performed against them.  At least one Bournemouth attacker should really benefit from it.
