Best Differentials to Own for Gameweek 33

In Fantasy Premier League (FPL), a differential is typically defined as a player owned by around 15% or fewer managers. Here are five standout differentials to consider ahead of Double Gameweek 33:

1) Kevin De Bruyne (Ownership: 5.1%, Price: £9.3m)

Looking for a spicy differential this week? Look no further than Kevin De Bruyne. He hasn’t really been in the FPL conversation this season but looked back to his imperious best against Crystal Palace, recording a double digit haul in the process. Given that City have a week’s rest before their first Gameweek 33 fixture, I’d expect De Bruyne to start both games in the double. If that turns out to be the case, then we’re well aware of what someone of De Bruyne’s pedigree can deliver

2Marcus Rashford (Ownership: 7.5%, Price: £6.7m)

Rashford is another one who has barely featured on the FPL menu this season but now is presenting a strong case. His performance against PSG in midweek was probably the best we’ve seen from him all season. The fact that he’s playing up front but is classified as a midfielder gives him a high ceiling too. Sure, he might miss the odd game for Watkins but at this point, it seems as if the #9’s shirt is his to lose.

3Ruben Dias (Ownership: 3.0%, Price: £5.4m)

With minutes for the City’s midfielders up in the air, doubling up on the City defence is emerging as a strong option. Gvardiol is more popularly owned but I also like Dias – injuries in the City defence mean that Dias should offer steady game time for the time being. With a double Gameweek this week and another potential one in Gameweek 36, there is strong merit to the Dias selection.

4) Ismaila Sarr (Ownership: 12.1%, Price: £5.8m) + Eberechi Eze (Ownership: 14.5%, Price: £6.9m)

I’ve been writing about these two for weeks now, and I’ll keep highlighting them for as long as they remain under the differential threshold.

With yet another double Gameweek on the horizon, they’re once again presented with further opportunities to deliver strong returns. Given that Palace’s double Gameweek fixtures are more suited to attacking returns than clean sheets, opting for two midfielders feels like the natural move as well. Both players have registered more minutes than Mateta in recent weeks, which makes them considerably safer picks when it comes to expected playing time.

That added security is crucial during a double Gameweek, where every minute counts. I continue to be surprised that their ownership levels remain under 15%. While you might spot them in a few rival teams here and there, the reality is that a large portion of the FPL field still doesn’t own them—making them ideal picks if you’re looking to make up ground or differentiate your squad from the template. And the best part is that they are very affordable, so there’s no reason not to own them!
