Gameweek 32: SamFPL’s Key Questions

As the season intensifies, so to do the FPL dilemmas. It is also prime time to be using our remaining chips ahead of the Double Gameweeks in GW32 and GW33. Luckily the boss SamFPL is here to guide you through all the noise!

Gameweek 32: SamFPL’s Key Questions
  • The Transfer Wizard is a great tool for customised transfer recommendations based on budget and position.
  • FPL Player Rankings also provides clear lists of the best FPL players across each position for budget and premium

Finally, back to back DGWs followed by a blank in 34 and it’s going to be the best chance for chips activation and rank jump. Use Assistant Manager on Glasner for his back to back double and table-bonus fixtures

Or active your WC urgently to load up on teams with doubles and have a clear plan and strategy to every single GW till the end of the season.

BB32 or 33

GW33 should be a better chance due to the greater number of teams with 2 fixtures but it’s completely team dependant. If your team isn’t full of ARS, AVL assets you may find yourself in trouble to field 15 players with good fixtures in DGW33.

Activate the chips now if you have triple up from each of CRY and NEW and your bench for DGW32 is satisfying.

Personally, I don’t thin GW32 is optimal for BB after Saka’s knock against Madrid, as his minutes will be in risk and Rogers may also be doubtful because he played 90 min against PSG and their 2nd leg will be on Tuesday!

I’m going to BB in DGW33 and to spend a free transfer on selling one of my NEW assets vs AVL (A) to a doubler.

TC32 or 33

I think we have only 3 picks over the next 2 DGWs to activate triple captain on;

GW32: Isak

GW33: Marmoush – Saka

  • Saka faces Madrid in next week again and he was subbed with a knock. I think his expected minutes over the double will be a concern.
  • Marmoush has a good chance but we aren’t safe with Pep roulette. He should start both games but it’s not 100%. We don’t know yet if he takes penalties?

BB33 blocking TC33 anyway and if your plan is BB33 so it’s going to be much easier for your to TC32 on Isak who passes the eye test and on penalties. Howe declared that he is completely fit and available for the double! The Swede has 2 home games in DGW32 who he has been already involved in 14 goals in 13 home fixtures so far

What to do if Wildcard wasted early?

  • I think you should be wise and have a list of your essentials! Target Crystal Palace assets as your priority for their 2 doubles.
  • Newcastle United has good schedule and a fixture in BGW34, Marmoush and ARS assets are also great target in DGW33.

What to do if no Free Hit left?

Don’t ignore the blank in 34 and avoid being blinded by the doubles. Prepare yourself to have around 9 players in the blank at least. Many managers will activate their left FH and will collect the best 11 for the GW. You may destroy your rank if you have less than 9 starters in it!

  • Simply triple up on NEW, They will provide you with a good double and a nice easy home game in the blank vs IPS.
  • Avoid loading up on AVL or City: their assets have less expected minutes for the next 2 GWs. Villa has tricky fixures in the double while City has a risky game vs the inform Palace next GW.
  • Target NFO and BHA for their easy schedule and consistency, their assets can outscore doublers over a 3 week period.

Best assets for DGW32:

  • Newcastle United: Isak is essential and best captain. Murphy is your MID from NEW due to Gordon’s doubts and Barnes low expected minutes. 3rd pick should be either a defensive one or Howe.
  • Crystal Palace: I’d prioritize Mateta for his penalties and consistency. Eze and Sarr are very close one, Munoz over any other defensice pick for his attacking returns as I don’t believe in CS for the Eagles. Glasner the standout AM as well.

Sarr to Eze?

I don’t like the idea of spending a FT on a sideway move from Sarr to Eze. Sarr was quiet and blanked last  2 games but he had some decent advanced positions and should return very soon. IF you have to buy one of them I’d recommend Eze for his recent form but if you’re a Sarr owner you shouldn’t sell him.

What to do with the premiums? (Salah – Palmer – Saka)

I’d never sell Salah or Palmer before facing (WHU, LEI) or (IPS) respectively! They’re not in good form recently but they can deliver easily against these leak defenses. A definite hold!

Saka can be benched in GW32 as I don’t think Arteta will risk him before the 2nd leg vs Madrid! Bench him in preparation to start him back for his DGW33.
