Anyway, without further ado, let’s get stuck into the best Gameweek 28 Differentials.

Raul Jimenez – £6.1m

Ownership: 2.0%

Despite seemingly never getting a full 90, Raul has proved he does not need an entire games worth of minutes to get returns. He now has 8 goals and 5 assists on the year including 4 returns in his last 4 games, along with a very healthy 0.63 xGI per 90 in his last 8 starts.

His recent form could not have come at a better time, as Fulham now face Spurs, West Ham, Forest and Burnley in their next 4. The current 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th placed teams.

He is also arguably the best penalty taker in the Premier League. Providing another extra bonus to an already healthy-looking outlook.

For those looking to downgrade a striker and save some cash, Raul profiles as a perfect opportunity and differential punt to do so.

Nico O’Reilly – £5m

Ownership: 7.3%

WARNING: BLANKING IN GW31

There’s no 2 ways around it, this seems like the biggest trap in FPL right now, which is why I’m considering diving in. If you have ample cover for GW31 then O’Reilly could be a great option for a few reasons.

The first is the City defence. With Guehi and Dias forming a formidable partnership at the back, City have found themselves with the 2nd best defensive record in the league behind only Arsenal.

So, when you combine this with the fact they play Leeds, Forest and West Ham in their next 3, the prospect of some clean sheets is more than on the cards.

What really separates O’Reilly however, is his penchant for getting forward. As you can see from the heat map below, O’Reilly absolutely loves to get forward, be it from LB or CM. Not only does he enjoy doing it, but he is also very handy in the final 3rd once he does get there, be it finishing or setting up teammates.

Quite often, the combination of a great defence and attacking penchant is a winning one in FPL, so with City’s upcoming fixtures, I see no reason his form can’t continue. Just make sure you have cover as he may be rotated.

Ibrahima Konate – £5.4m

Ownership: 3.5%

If you cannot afford Van Dijk, then Konate is a more than acceptable option. Van Dijk only averages 0.34 more Defcons per game than Konate and plays for the same defence. Now granted, Virgil does carry more attacking threat, but that’s not to say it’s significant enough to gap Konate as an asset.

More significantly however, has been Liverpool’s 2 clean sheets in a row. Now granted they were lucky not to conceded at times but so is every team. What is encouraging however is Liverpool’s upcoming fixtures. With West Ha, Wolves and Spurs in their next 3, it’s safe to say some clean sheets and indeed attacking returns are on the cards. In fact, Liverpool’s fixtures are great right up until 35, so Konate has the potential to be a great long-term hold.

Viktor Gyokeres – £8.8m

Ownership: 12.0%

WARNING: BLANKING IN GW31

Despite not being a differential in the conventional sense, I doubt Gyokeres’ ownership in the top 100k is very high. Gyokeres seems to have discovered his finishing boots, with 5 goals in his last5 games, including some sharp finishes. He has now quietly amassed 10 league goals this season.

Even with Havertz back, it is hard to see Gyokeres losing his starting spot considering the from he’s in. Not least considering Arsenal’s perilous position atop the Premier League table.

The fixtures of Chelsea, Brighton and Everton are also not that scary for an attacker, especially considering Chelsea only have 1 clean sheet in their last 11 league games. Like O’Reilly, just make sure you have good bench cover, particularly for GW31.
