The Best GW12 Free Hit Team. Bournemouth, Liverpool, Chelsea, Crystal Palace. Premiums and Budget Enablers. This team has it all.
With some quite tasty teams having some quite tasty fixtures, the GW12 Free Hit team ends up shaking out quite nicely. With FPL star studded teams such as Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Liverpool all having great match ups this week, free hit 12 is definitely a viable option. Especially for those managers chasing rank.
Make sure you check out our Predicted Line-Ups Hub before locking in any changes however, as at no time is it more important to check a starting line-up than during a Free Hit.
If you are on the Free Hit’s older brother, the wildcard, then make sure you check out our Best GW12 Wildcard team, where the teams are created with the upcoming fixture weeks in mind.
Key Tip: It is important to remember that given it is a Free Hit, you will not need multiple levels of bench cover, so the 2nd and 3rd outfield bench spots can be as cheap as possible to maximise the starting 11.
So without further ado we present our best GW12 Free Hit team.

Not much more needs to be said about Petrovic’s inclusion. West Ham are bottom 4 for xG and have been struggling all season. Bournemouth also have a decent defence, making Petrovic’s inclusion at only £4.5m a great way to start.
We just needed a £3.9m to help make it fit the team. If you find yourself with some extra £ then feel free to pick Dubravka or another cheaper alternative.

The Burnley fixture is just too good to miss out on. The best thing about the Burnley fixture is its appeal for both attackers and defenders. Making a team with 2 defenders with great attacking threat even more optimal. Cucurella has so many routes to points here, carrying in an xGI of 0.2.
Pretty much identical reasons to Cucurella here, except with a slightly higher xGI per 90 of 0.25. Either could be involved in a goal and theres a strong possibility both come away with a clean sheet.
That Wolves fixture is simply too tantalising to miss out on. Munoz, like James and Cucurella, carries a strong attacking threat and clean sheet threat into this weeks fixture with an xGI of 0.25. Wolves also sit dead last for goals and xG, making this THE ideal defensive fixture on the calendar.
The final of our starting defenders is non other than Marcos Senesi. Currently the #1 ranked defender in the league for DefCons. He now combines that DefCon presence with a strong clean sheet potential against relegation struggling West Ham. He’s also not bad in the air averaging the same xGI per 90 as Gabriel at 0.13. Again, another player with so many routes to points.
There is perhaps no better time in the season to play Fulham. The cottagers have lost 5 of their last 6 games in the Prem and now carry that form into high-flyers Sunderland. Reinildo will be the 1st bench player as a result.
Altenative: If you cannot afford to do the double Chelsea block, then we also really like bringing in Crystal Palace’s Chris Richards for their fixture against Wolves and tripling up on Palace. Every team looks unstoppable against Wolves so Richards should have a good chance at his clean sheet and Defcon points.

We wanted at least some Liverpool coverage for the Nottingham Forest fixture. Forest sit bottom for for both GA and xGA. Liverpool will likely come out firing given all the pressure currently on them. Given how volatile the rest of Liverpool’s attacking minutes are, Salah presents as the best option to cover this fixture. He’s also due a haul.
It would be hard to omit any attacker from a West Ham at home fixture, let alone a man with 10 returns in 11 games. Despite cooling off slightly the last few games, Semenyo now finds himself with the perfect fixture to get back to his goalscoring ways. He should naturally be hungrier than ever given the missed pen. Expect lots of fireworks and some greed.
Update: If Semenyo is injured then we recommend going Bruno or Mbeumo if you can afford it.
Lewis Miley is our 2nd bench option. An occasional starter at only £4.4m isn’t bad to be fair.
Like Miley, Dowman will also be filling up our bench.
Don’t ask why we’ve done it in this order but we have. Rounding out our 3rd starting midfield spot is the imperious Granit Xhaka. Xhaka currently sits in the Top 10 for total points for midfielders and its clear to see why.
He is a DefCon monster averaging 12.09 a game who is more than capable of chipping in on attack. As illustrated by his 4 returns this season. He now carries that form into a torrid Fulham team who have lost 5 of their last 6. With only 6% ownership, he is a very cheap and sneaky differential beast.

Now this is where things get interesting. We spoke about the Burnley fixture earlier so anything other than a Chelsea triple up would be wrong. Joao Pedro has rediscovered his scoring boots just in time for one of the best fixtures of the season. Do not overthink his inclusion.
Leaving this man out of any Free Hit team is nigh on impossible right now. Not least considering Newcastle have looked abysmal of late. Again, no need to overthink this one.
The Palace target man currently sits 2nd in the Prem for total xG behind t=only the Norweigan Robot, averaging a whopping 0.83 per 90. He now takes that form into a Wolves team who have conceded the most goals in the league this season. If any fixture screams mega-haul its this one.

If you prefer you can always dilute a Salah and strengthen the rest of the team accordingly. However we feel that even with Salah and Haaland you can still have a very strong Free Hit line up considering some of the fantastic cheap options. The fixtures are there to be attacked, and we feel this team does that perfectly. If you have more cash a Reinildo to Chris Richards move can always make sense, we’ve just done our best to make sure its budget friendly.
