The Best Enzo Replacements in FPL

With 3 blanks in a row, despite high xGI, and some awful fixtures up next, it’s safe to say a lot of managers will be parting with Enzo Fernandez ahead of Gameweek 28. In fact, he is already the most transferred out player this gameweek, along with teammates Chalobah and Joao Pedro.

But who is the best replacement? With Arsenal and City both blanking in Gameweek 31, replacing Chelsea assets has got a bit more interesting.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get stuck into the Best Enzo replacements in FPL. We have decided to rank them in order.

Harry Wilson – £5.9m

The Fulham man is our runaway favourite for a few reasons.

Firstly, he is very predictable. He tends to do well in the easy fixtures and struggle in the tougher ones, making him a very friendly FPL asset.

Secondly, and more importantly, has been his form this season. The Welshman already has 8 goals and 7 assists so far this season at an xGI of 0.4 per 90. Not only are the underlying stats very sustainable, but the eye test is as well. He looks dangerous every time he gets the ball and is always looking for shooting angles. He also has a strong presence over set-pieces.

Thirdly, and again super importantly, is his fixtures. Fulham play 4 of the bottom 5 in their next 4 fixtures and amongst them the worst defences in the league. Spurs in particular is a fantastic fixture considering Romero is out and Dragusin is starting. A switch that has seen Spurs concede an average of 2.69 goals per game, as opposed to 1.52 when its Romero and Van De Ven.

The fourth and final reason is his price. £5.9m is an absolute steal for a player with his return capacity and fixtures, and would allow you to save an extra £0.9m on the Enzo sale.

Morgan Rogers – £7.7m

If you do have the extra £0.9m lying around, then Rogers is definitely a top option to look at. He already has 8 goals and 5 assists this season and is coming into a fantastic set of fixtures, particularly for an attacker. He has been ticking along as opposed to exploding but nonetheless remains a good option.

Firstly, he is an absolute lock for minutes. Honestly, he must be the most knackered player in the league as Emery seems to play him 90 mins every game. So at minimum he is never a minutes concern.

He is especially a great shout if you have already used your wildcard, as he has fantastic fixtures right up until Gameweek 36. So if you are looking to limit the amount of FTs you have, then Rogers is a great shout.

Dango Ouattara – £5.9m

Speaking of £5.9m exciting wingers, Dango occupies the number 3 spot. Now yes, this could have easily been Kevin Schade but there is just enough of a price difference to make it a thinker.

Dango has quietly accrued 5 goals and 5 assists this season at an xGI of 0.45 per 90. Very solid numbers. Like Wilson, he is also very direct and loves to run at defences and break lines. Also like Wilson, he has fantastic fixtures. With Burnley, Bournemouth, Wolves and Leeds in their next 4. In other terms, that is 4 of the bottom 5 defences so far this season by goals conceded.

A very solid option.

Kevin Schade – £6.9m

We won’t go into too much detail about Brentford’s fixtures as we just covered it in the Dango section.

Honestly if you have plenty of funds in the bank then it is more than acceptable to go Schade over Dango. Schade does carry slightly more goal threat than Dango as opposed to spreading between assists and goals. He also has a slightly higher xGI per 90 of 0.49 as opposed to Dango’s 0.45 per 90.

However, we are looking at the price difference of £1.0m when we rank Dango slightly higher and where else that £1m could be invested when ranking Dango higher. Does Schade have a better return potential? Yes. Is it £1.0ms worth? Probably not but it’s close.

Here’s a situation for example:

Dango + VVD or Schade + Konate? It’s definitely close but I’d lean towards what the extra £1.0m unlocks in other positions.

Dominik Szoboszlai – £6.8m

With Frimpong back in training and available to start and Wirtz still battling an injury, there is every chance we see Szoboszlai return to an attacking role for Liverpool’s amazing upcoming fixtures.

Szoboszlai has a range of different routes to points which often means he has a very solid floor. Particularly when he’s in a more attacking role. He can score, assist, achieve defensive contributions, take set-pieces, bonus points and even the little clean sheet bonus.

More importantly, Liverpool’s next 3 games are against 3 of the bottom 5 teams in the league, further adding to Szoboszlai’s appeal.

Bournemouth Assets

Now this is a contentious one and one we wanted to discuss all in one block for what will become obvious shortly. With Tavernier returning, there is now an element of uncertainty around all prospective Bournemouth midfielder’s minutes. Tavernier, Rayan, Adli and Kroupi are all essentially competing for 3 spots across the advanced 3 of Bournemouth’s midfield.

Most would say it will likely be Adli who gets benched, but this would involve sticking Kroupi out on the left and playing Tavernier in the 10. However, given Tavernier’s recent return from injury, it is really hard to get a gauge on how they will set up.

Bournemouth’s fixtures then take a turn around GW31 so the idea behind moving for Bournemouth assets would be to move ASAP. We just think there’s too much uncertainty to do so. However, if you were so inclined, Rayan is probably the safest route.
