Gameweek 7 – FPL Goat’s Fixture Ticker

The main man himself FPL Goat is back once again to bring you his essential GW7 Fixture Ticker. Nothing gets you prepared to dominate your FPL leagues like his FPL Fixture Ticker.

Gameweek 7 – FPL Goat’s Fixture Ticker

We are at a stage where most teams don’t have a continuous run of good fixtures for next 4-5 GWs and even if they do have they are the teams most don’t consider for FPL in terms of getting their assets

1. Arsenal

Arsenal look like the most consistent team at the moment in terms of attack and their defence too. They now enter a run where they play WHU, FUL, BUR & SUN in the next 5 GWs.

🥇 Gabriel: Currently the best Defender to own in FPL, he has blanked just twice in 6 games. A goal and hit DEFCON twice and was close the other 3 times too, a big threat from set pieces and corners as we saw against Newcastle last week.

🥈 Saka: He now plays WHU, FUL, BUR in the next 5 who are all bottom half and all have kept just 1 clean sheet each this season. Him coming back from injury and midweek UCL games meaning his minutes will be managed but he is extremely safe for 70 odd minutes.

Raya/Timber: Arsenal are the best defence now in the league in terms of goals conceded and xGC and it’s only logical to have two of their Defenders which would prove to be a differential. If you are a safer manager then just go for Raya set and forget till the next wildcard but if you are slightly ambitious then Timber could turn out to be a big differential. Timber is a xMins risk as he generally only plays 60-70 minutes in the league but with the upside he has I prefer him over Raya.

NOTE: Gyokeres is a decent option too but he has been very inconsistent and has blanked 4 times accumulating 0.00 xG thrice. Till we know he is on penalties, Saka is a better option.

2. Manchester City

A very frustrating team in terms of FPL as they have been under pep Guardiola. It’s almost impossible to select a player from man city as there are absolutely no guarantees of consecutive starts.

🥇 Haaland: Don’t need to say much, just get him – whether you need to sell Salah or sell anyone, or take a points hit, just get him in your team. You can almost set and forget him as your captain against any opposition barring Arsenal. Out of city’s 14 goals in the league Haaland has scored 8 of them and that’s another reason to not pick a Man City attacker other than Haaland.

🥈 Doku: I am recommending him as a pure punt play and not someone you can keep for more than 3-4 GWs in your team. He has started only 4 out of 6 games in the league, he has 3 assists so far, has created 3 big chances and is 2nd only behind Grealish for xA this season.

NOTE: I don’t recommend any Manchester City Defender as they have only kept 2 clean sheets in 6 games and have looked pretty average at the back.

3. Newcastle United

One of the best defences in the league but also one of the worst attack in the league, two very contrasting statistics this season and the reason you also see absence of any attacking asset in the FPL teams.

🥇 Burn: Been going under the radar and only now people are looking at Newcastle Defenders on wildcard and with transfers. They are the 2nd best defence in the league in terms of goals conceded and xGC just behind Arsenal. He has hit DEFCON 3 times already and was close in GW6 vs Arsenal as well. He is only 6.4% owned and probably the most nailed Newcastle Defender,

🥈 Pope: He is the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets this season with 4, he also has the 2nd best xGC in the league just behind Raya. Currently 2nd in the league for FPL points just behind Roefs, he easily possesses more upside than Raya with more chances of save points.

4. Spurs

One of the most inconsistent and unpredictable teams in the league. They won again Man City, west ham and Burnley, lost to Bournemouth and drew to Wolves and Brighton. It’s extremely hard to predict the outcome of their games and to pick players from them.

🥇 Richarlison: I completely disregarded him despite a great start to the season for him because of Solanke, but he is being reported to miss a decent amount of games recovering from a setback. Richarlison becomes a great option, as he has been this season, despite them signing Kolo Muani on loan. He plays Leeds and Everton in the next 3 GWs who are not defensively sound teams at the moment.

🥈 Kudus: He is not an out and out goalscorer in that team and more of a creator and a crosser in the team. He has 4 assists this season but no goals to show get, if you need a Tottenham Midfielder in your team he is the best bet in terms of xMins.

NOTE: I don’t suggest any of their defence despite them keeping 3 clean sheets already this season. Their upcoming fixtures all the way till GW18 are not good enough to get in their Defenders. Vicario is still the one to get if you are in for a lot of save points but then again on Wildcard or otherwise I prefer Raya or Pope.
