Our Fulham vs Leeds United predicted lineups with data & tactical insights.
Fulham have yet to pick up a win this season despite starting the season performing quite well. The season started off with a 1-1 draw against Brighton in a fairly evenly matched game, and followed that up with a 1-1 draw against Manchester United. Then came the big London derby against Chelsea, a game Fulham lost but will feel they were robbed by a couple of dubious refereeing decisions including disallowing Josh King’s goal that would have put them 0-1 up. Marco Silva is one of the best coaches in the league and Fulham are always well prepared for their opponents. They will be rearing to go for a game at home against a promoted side, as it presents them with a great opportunity to get that first win and climb the table.
Leeds started the season off so promisingly, completely outplaying Everton in GW1 on the way to a deserved 1-0 win. Then the realities of being back in the Premier League hit, with a visit to the Emirates where the promoted side suffered a 5-0 hammering. Daniel Farke’s side bounced back from that heavy defeat well, fighting tooth and nail for a draw against Newcastle to make it 4 points from 3 games, which as things stand, has Leeds above Man City…
Fulham will be determined to show they are a tier or two above Leeds, win their physical battles and let their talent shine en route to their first victory of the season. Look for Silva to set up with a more attacking team and to take the game to Leeds at home. Leeds will be looking to continue a strong start to the season by taking something from Craven Cottage this weekend by being able to defend well as a unit and hit Fulham on the counter or from a set piece. Silva’s side should have too much at home but you can never be too sure in the Premier League.
Lineups will be updated throughout the week in live time as and when injury and lineup news is announced.

Sessegnon started at left-back in GW3 against Chelsea, however did not really impress and Robinson should re-take his starting left-back spot in GW4.
Castagne has started the last 2 games at ‘right-wing’, however this experiment has not really worked and Wilson and Sessegnon are far more talented attacking left-footed players. I think Wilson starts at RW against Leeds – this is definitely one to watch.
Muniz should continue to start at striker.
Robinson:
Wilson:
Sessegnon:

Ampadu’s timeline for return was ‘after the international break’ however exactly how long after the international break, was not clarified. I don’t expect him to start in GW4 even if he is in the squad.
Lonstaff and Gruev will continue to start while Ampadu and Tanaka are injured.
Nmecha replaced Piroe in the starting lineup in GW3 against Newcastle. I would have to think that is a change that is for the long term unless Nmecha proves ineffective.
Gudmundsson has picked up a muscular injury against Newcastle. With 2 weeks to recover during the international break, the hope will be he is fit and ready to go for Fulham.
Gudmundsson:
Nmecha:

Ampadu:
Tanaka:
Fulham will set up in their standard 4-2-1-3 and allow their superior attacking talent to shine as well as dominate the midfield battle and establish control of the game. If they can get ahead in the game, Leeds will face a very tough task to leave Craven Cottage with anything. Leeds will stick with their 4-3-3 set up and look to use their pace on the counter, but playing with some desperation at home, Fulham would be disappointed with anything less than 3 points.
