Moyes speaking on Friday about Jarrad Branthwaite’s injury setback revealed “We had him back, he was back in full training, and we expected him to be very close for Manchester City… It didn’t feel quite right so we got it checked out and he’s had to have some work on it… We’re not giving a timescale because we want to give it a chance to heal and for him to take his time”. Terrible news for Branthwaite and Everton as he has been a non factor all season and continues to struggle with injuries. Keane will continue starting.
Speaking on Patterson Moyes said “He had a plantar fascia tear in his foot which he picked up in the game against Bradford. It will probably keep him out for a couple of weeks… He’s also had a little bit of an issue with his hernia so we’re going to get that tided up while he’s out”. Pretty self explanatory and I do not think Patterson would start even if fit.
Alcaraz started in Grealish’s place last weekend, due to Grealish being loan locked. Grealish will come back into the starting XI at LW this weekend of course.
Barry started in GW7 but then Beto started last week against City. Given Beto did not impress and Everton did not score against City, whereas Everton won 2-1 when Barry started against a flying Crystal Palace side, I think Barry comes back in to the starting lineup. It is difficult to predict.
Grealish: Back available after being loan locked last weekend.
Barry: Started over Beto in the 2-1 win vs Crystal Palace. Beto started last weekend, Everton went goalless.
Branthwaite: Out 3 months with hamstring injury setback.
Rohl: Also back training on grass.
Patterson: Could return to training this week.

Thomas Frank in his Friday press conferences had a lot of key injury news. He revealed that “Cuti [Romero] just walked out on the grass running, positive and progressing. No timeframe but I don’t expect it to be a longer one”, and while Romero is training on grass and running, and Frank doesn’t expect it to be a longer term injury, I don’t expect Romero to start against Everton. Danso will start in his place.
Frank also revealed “Destiny (Udogie) isn’t on the grass yet, not a longer one”, so Spence and Porro will start at full-back while Udogie recovers. He could be available for GW10 it sounds like.
Speaking on Solanke Frank said “Dominic positive, he’s taking steps in the right direction every day. Sustainable amount of pitch sessions on his own”. Given he is still not in team training, it does not seem Solanke is going to be a major factor until after the November international break.
Simons was rested against Monaco in midweek but will start against Everton at either LW or in the 10. Given Odobert was subbed off and grimacing against Monaco, and Spurs lost with Simons in the 10 and looked better balanced with him at LW, I think he plays LW with Sarr coming back in to the starting lineup.
Palhinha has played 2 full 90’s in the last week and won’t play a third. Palhinha and Bentancur were subbed off against Monaco likely to keep them fresh to start this game.
Richarlison will start at striker although Kolo Muani got his first minutes with Spurs making a cameo against Monaco. Good minutes to ramp him up but not enough to start a Premier League game. Tel missed the game against Monaco with a calf injury and will likely not feature against Everton.
Tel: Missed the game against Monaco with a calf injury. Likely misses out. Has started the last 2 games in the league as the striker.
Romero: Back training on grass but likely misses this weekend’s game against Everton.
Udogie: Out for this game. Not long term.
Spence: Will start with Udogie injury.
Bergvall: Will start.
Simons: Has played as the 10 recently. Simons LW worked better and with Odobert potentially out he is the best option.
Kolo Muani: Got first minutes with Spurs against Monaco but will be on the bench.
Solanke: Back on grass but doing individual training still.
