Arsenal Team News:

Mikel Arteta speaking to the media on Friday revealed that “Big Gabby (Gabriel) had to leave the pitch against Atletico Madrid with an issue and we will have to wait over the next 24 hours to see if he is available”. Arteta is always coy and rarely fully candid with injury updates, but with such a short turnaround and how well Mosquera has played this season, I think it is likely Gabriel does not start this weekend. It does not seem a long term concern so he should return next weekend if he does not make the squad for Palace.

Speaking on Madueke, Odegaard and Havertz, Arteta stated “They are all progressing really well. They have started to do certain activities and they are super willing to be available as quick as possible. But none of them are in contention for a week or so”, which is great news for Arteta and Arsenal fans. 3 key players returning in the next couple of weeks is big as the fixtures pile up.

On Hincapie Arteta revealed is train”He is training again with us. If everything is right, he will be available as well” which is good news for Arteta and Arsenal fans. Even more defensive depth for the best defensive team in the league.

Eze should start in midfield as a 10 with freedom ahead of Zubimendi and Rice. They provide him the platform to take up different positions on the pitch and create and take shots at goal. Trossard seems to have made the LW spot his own, with Martinelli being viewed as more of a super sub.

Gyokeres has not played well for Arsenal through 8 league games but Arsenal are winning games and he will continue to start, especially as Havertz recovers from his injury.

Arsenal Players to Watch:

Gabriel: Picked up a knock against Atletico on Tuesday. Seems unlikely he will start.

Mosquera: Would start in Gabriel’s place.

Odegaard: Suffered an MCL strain that will sideline him for at least one more week.

Hincapie: Expected to be available.

Madueke: Returning in the next couple of weeks.

Havertz: Could return in November.

Eze: Likely to play centrally as a 10 rather than LW against his former club.

Crystal Palace Predicted Lineup:

Crystal Palace Predicted Lineup GW9

GK - Henderson
RWB - Munoz
CB - Richards
CB - Lacroix
CB - Guehi
LWB - Mitchell
CM - Wharton
CM - Kamada
RAM - Sarr
LAM - Pino
ST - Mateta

Crystal Palace Team News:

An unchanged starting lineup for Oliver Glasner. His best XI is now very set. The back-5 never changes, and Kamada is Glasner’s preferred partner for Wharton in midfield over Hughes.

Pino has replaced Eze in the starting lineup and now partners Sarr as one of the two 10’s and then of course the star man who scored a hattrick last weekend Mateta starts up top.

Crystal Palace Players to Watch:

Kamada: Preferred starter over Hughes and added mobility and technique will be key against Arsenal.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace Preview & Predicted Score:

Score Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Crystal Palace
