With Wildcard season now upon us, nailing those differential spots in your line ups is absolutely key, as these will likely be the difference between catching the leaders of you’re mini-leagues or indeed holding off the losers! Luckily BigManBakar has got you covered.
For our purposes, a differential refers to a player owned by around 20% or less of FPL managers.
This is probably the only week where I’ll get to classify Marmoush as a differential between now and the end of the season. With Haaland sidelined for a while, Marmoush is just too obvious a pick to ignore.
He’s likely to play as City’s number nine and will very likely have penalties in his locker too. With a double in Gameweek 33 and potentially another in Gameweek 36, he should play a pivotal role in our squads in the weeks to come.
The fixture this week can’t get much better either—the less said about Leicester, the better.
Gvardiol’s inclusion as a differential stems from inactive team ownership inflating his numbers. When it comes to steady game time, only Gvardiol and Marmoush appeal from Manchester City.
Gvardiol is locked in for regular minutes and should capitalize on an excellent fixture run, including two potential back-to-back doubles and a match against Leicester this week, who haven’t scored in lightyears!
Crystal Palace are the most important team to target for FPL managers for the run-in. They are likely to have two back-to-back doubles in Gameweeks 32 and 33 and possibly another in Gameweek 36 should they reach the FA Cup final.
What helps their assets is their price and the appeal of their upcoming fixtures. I think having at least two Palace attackers is essential on a Wildcard—I may even go for three!
The upcoming fixtures suggest they offer more potential for attacking returns than clean sheets. Eze and Sarr are my favorites, as they stand out due to their price in midfield. Glasner historically hasn’t rotated much either, so game time should be relatively assured despite the upcoming fixture congestion.
Murphy is the final differential of choice. Costing only £5.0m, he has started each of Newcastle’s previous 15 Premier League fixtures.
With game time assured, he can be a decent budget enabler to own for Newcastle’s upcoming double in Gameweek 32. What helps his appeal is his price, which allows us to afford heavy hitters like Salah and Palmer/Saka in our teams.
