Hall replacements

Millions of FPL managers were shocked by Hall’s injury that ruled him out of the season after missing the  FA Cup 5th round game against Brighton at the weekend due to a foot injury. He is owned by 21 per cent of managers who are looking for a good replacement.==

If you’re in the same situation you should get a defender according to your plans for the blank GW29 if you will navigate it by using your Free hit I’ll recommend the following 2 picks:

  • Munoz: One of best def for goal threat this season. He had 8 big chances and is always advanced as wing back. His GW28 and 30 fixtures are amazing. He is essential for FH29 managers. His double GW32 will be very good advantage as well.
  • Konate/Trent: Liverpool has showed that they are one of the best defensive teams this season and Alisson is in great form. They face SOU at Anfield which is very tempting fixture.

On the other hand, Non free hitters won’t be able to get either of them 1 week ahead of their blank. I think the following 3 options should be their transfer targets:

  • Nouri: Wolves looked poor defensively this season. However, Ait Nouri was one of the best def to own due to his attacking threat and returns. Wolves will face 2 promoted sides in the next 4 game weeks and he should get decent returns
  • Kerkez: He is currently the best defender to own from the Cherries. BOU have significantly improved this year and Kerkez looks like a winger rather than a def. Bou has decent fixtures and is one of the best teams to target.
  • Gvardiol: City are back with some wins and they look promising recently. Although their poor performance this season, Gvardiol was standout and 2nd best def for points per match due to his 12 returns. He is more advanced this season and always involved in Man City attacks.

 

Haaland or Palmer?

Salah is going to blank in GW29 and Palmer has been disappointing recently. In addition, The English international will face ARS in this blank GW and many managers are looking to sell him, I’m completely against selling him before LEI game, But if the plan is selling him in BGW29 then Haaland should be your replacement Premium due to his improving form.

 

What to do with Isak?

Isak has a minor injury but we aren’t sure about his start in GW28, I think we should wait for Last press conference and any leaks about his training possibilities. We may lose a lot of value by selling him early and it may be too difficult to restore him for DGW32.

 

What to do with Cunha and Mateta?

Mateta is now a major doubt for Palace’s home match against Ipswich Town in GW28 after being taken off on a stretcher with a head injury in the FA cup. He also has a Blank Gameweek 29 to follow, so he will get at least back to back blanks. He is a sell to be honest. Meanwhile, Cunha was shown a red card for violent conduct against AFC Bournemouth and will miss next three matches. And he is a definite sell as well.

Best forwards to buy:

  • Wood: His consistency has made him one of the essential picks in FPL this season and a top target for non owners. He is a captaincy option in blank GW29 and can easily return vs. City this weekend.
  • Wissa: Wissa offers great value for his price and is a constant threat to BRE opponents. Next 3 opponents suffers in counter attacks and this suits Brentford playing style a lot. I trust Wissa in this spell.
  • Marmoush: Scored a hattrick vs NEW and his minutes looks safe since he arrived. City improving form and fixtures will help him a lot and he may cover Haaland’s points for very cheaper price.
  • Beto: Is currenty the best cheap forward to own. He offers great value for his 5.0 m and should be in your consideration. He has 5 returns in last 4 GWs, He is  top-scoring forward in Fantasy across this spell, and Everton looks promising and more attacking under Moyes.
