Best differentials to own for Double Gameweek 24

For our purposes, a differential refers to a player owned by around 15% or less of FPL managers.

1) Iliman Ndiaye (Ownership: 3.6%, Price: £5.5m)

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin sidelined, Ndiaye is likely to be Everton’s top attacking option. Ndiaye may not be the most exciting pick, but he ticks plenty of important boxes. With a low price, penalty duties, a Double Gameweek fixture against Leicester, and a solid Blank Gameweek 29 fixture at home to West Ham, he looks like a shrewd pick. A poor return in the double isn’t a major issue, as he can easily be benched as the eighth attacker in the upcoming weeks. If you have someone like Raul or Calvert Lewin in your team, going for Ndiaye is an easy move.

2) Jordan Pickford (Ownership: 15.8%, Price: £5.1m)

Jordan Pickford looks like the best route into Everton’s defence ahead of the double Gameweek. He’s not just valuable for the double but also has a favourable home fixture against West Ham in Blank Gameweek 29. Sitting 8th in the league for xG conceded, Everton’s matches have typically been low-scoring this season. What helps Pickford is that he accumulates BPS more quickly than the Everton defenders. Pickford benefits from saves, whereas Everton’s defenders often fall short of the successful pass completion % needed for BPS.

3) Yoane Wissa (Ownership: 10.5%, Price: £6.3m)

Brentford’s favourable fixture swing means that Wissa also warrants consideration. Brentford’s next three opponents—Spurs, West Ham, and Leicester—are all among the bottom-half teams for xG conceded this season. Leading his Brentford team-mates in non-penalty xG and non-penalty xGI per 90, he stands out as the chief goal threat.

4Alisson Becker (Ownership: 8.9%, Price: £5.5m)

I think doubling up on Liverpool’s defence is a strategy that will pay off. Despite a lack of recent defensive returns, Liverpool’s xGC remains the best in the league, and with a Double Gameweek and a home match against Wolves to come, Liverpool’s defence remains a solid option.

In fact, bookmakers rate Liverpool as the most likely team to keep at least one clean sheet this week and in Gameweek 25. As a result, Alisson emerges as a reliable set-and-forget pick moving forward. The only caveat is Liverpool’s likely blank in Gameweek 29, so ensure you have a backup goalkeeper ready if the schedule unfolds as expected.

5) Ibrahima Konate (Ownership: 6.3%, Price: £5.2m)

Konate is looking more appealing to me for similar reasons. Now injury-free, Konate is likely to enjoy stable Premier League game time, backed by Slot’s statements and favorable fixtures.
