Game Week 21: BigManBakar’s Best Differentials

Best differentials to own for Gameweek 21

For our purposes, a differential refers to a player owned by around 15% or less of FPL managers.

  • Check out the Transfer Wizard for the best differentials at your exact budget.
  • Check out FPL Rankings to see the best Premium and Budget options at different positions.

1)Bruno Fernandes (Ownership: 9.5%, Price: £8.3m)

Bruno Fernandes comes into consideration given United’s recent run of form. They have a great run of fixtures ahead, including one against Southampton this week, where Bruno could even be a differential captain.

Dalot’s suspension along with the likely absences of Mount and Rashford means that Bruno is also likely to play in the front three, where he is likely to prosper from a FPL point of view. Southampton are by far the worst team for xG conceded this season – conceding over 2 xG per game, so chances are that any new Bruno owners are rewarded straightaway.

2) Eberechi Eze (Ownership: 8.4%, Price: £6.6m)

I’ll keep picking Eze as one of my differentials every week as long as he remains below the ownership threshold. He’s delivered in both of the previous Game weeks so far so I feel little reason to change!

Palace’s fixtures are also amazing, check them out in the Opta Match Centre.

While Sarr has similar data, Eze’s set-piece duties and potential penalties give him an extra edge. His price also makes it easier to fit in premium assets like Trent, Isak, Palmer and Salah.

3Noussair Mazraoui (Ownership: 11.6%, Price: £4.4m)

Man United are the bookmaker favourites for a clean sheet this week – which is not often something you get to read. Dalot’s suspension means that Mazraoui will definitely start – and very likely as a wing-back as well.

At just £4.4m, he should be good value looking at United’s favourable schedule. What’s also crucial to note here is that he has a good fixture against Leicester in Gameweek 29, a Gameweek where some teams are expected to blank.

  4Daniel Munoz (Ownership: 5.3%, Price: £4.7m)

Any FPL managers who have jumped on Munoz in recent times can rightly count themselves unlucky. He’s had two big chance involvements in each of the previous two Premier League fixtures so has been unlucky not to end up without an attacking return to his credit.

In fact, his numbers have been consistent throughout the season – he tops the xG table among defenders till date. Leicester like conceding xG for fun, so this might finally be the week where Munoz comes good.

5) Ibrahima Konate (Ownership: 6.7%, Price: £5.4m)

A return from injury coupled with the announcement of double Gameweek 24 brings Konate to the FPL menu.

Liverpool’s elite defensive numbers suggest that he should be a solid pick in the coming weeks – as long as he stays fit.
