Game Week 20: BigManBakar’s Best Differentials

For our purposes, a differential refers to a player owned by around 15% or less of FPL managers.

1)Raúl Jiménez (Ownership: 7.6%, Price: £5.6m)

I feel like I’ve been writing about Jimenez’s minutes for months and getting them wrong every week. I did not expect Jimenez to start against Bournemouth after Muniz’s winner against Chelsea, but it’s funny how the tables have turned again after Jimenez scoring and impressing against Bournemouth. By contrast, Muniz was poor when he came on and Fulham looked quite toothless after the time Jimenez was substituted. I think Jimenez starts this week, and probably gets subbed close to the 70 minute mark again. That surely makes Jimenez a worthwhile option this week, given his price and the appeal of the fixture.

2) Eberechi Eze (Ownership: 7.6%, Price: £6.6m)

At only 7.6% ownership—mostly among inactive teams—Eze stands out as an exciting differential pick. I brought him in ahead of Southampton, and with strong fixtures ahead, he should continue delivering. While Sarr has similar data, Eze’s set-piece duties and potential penalties give him an extra edge. His price also makes it easier to fit in essential assets like Trent, Isak, and Alisson.

3Timothy Castagne (Ownership: 1.6%, Price: £4.2m)

Kenny Tete’s injury has brought Castagne to the FPL menu in recent weeks. He’s often playing as a wing-backs off late and has been getting into promising positions, which gives him the ability to score points at both ends of the field. Fulham are ranked 5th for xG conceded this season and are in the top three teams for highest clean sheet probability this week, which makes the Fulham defence a shrewd option this week.

4Daniel Munoz (Ownership: 4.7%, Price: £4.7m)

I see Daniel Muñoz as a strong pick moving forward. Owned by just 4.7% of managers, he tops all defenders for xG this season, offering both attacking and defensive potential. Palace’s favorable fixture swing makes him an even more appealing long-term option.

5) Alisson (Ownership: 6.7%, Price: £5.4m)

I’ve been writing about Alisson for weeks but I feel as if I’ll continue to do so as long as he stays below the differential threshold – Liverpool’s defensive underlying data is just that good!

With the fixtures in their favour and Liverpool likely to have a double Gameweek at some point soon, he’s a reliable set-and-forget pick for the weeks ahead.
