Game Week 16: FPL Goat’s Fixture Ticker

Ingenuity & Brad Mayor have recently launched their weekly FPL Rankings Series, Check it out here.

1. Arsenal

Now is the best time to get 2-3 Arsenal players in your team after some tougher fixtures have passed.

🥇 Saka: 5 goals and 11 assists this season. He is top for assists, top for chances created, top for big chances created, and top for xA.He and Arsenal in general struggled a bit with the Ødegaard injury, but with him back, Saka looks like a completely different player. He has 4 double-digit hauls this season and many more to come.

🥈 Gabriel: Currently the top-scoring defender in the game and the defender to own—a literal menace from set pieces and corners. Arsenal have a great set of fixtures. Gabriel scored last GW vs. West Ham but was subbed off at halftime as a precaution. I think he should be fine for the next GWs.

🥉 Ødegaard: As much as I like Raya for that 3rd midfield spot, I prefer to have some fun and get another Arsenal attacker in. I think Arsenal are going to score a lot of goals rather than keep clean sheets. Ødegaard is always involved in the majority of the chances and goals they create. He has 1 goal and 2 assists in 3 games since returning from injury—essentially, he has had a return in every game since coming back. 12 chances created and 2 big chances created in the last 3 GWs. He has the potential for some huge hauls with great fixtures ahead.

2. Bournemouth

The tougher fixtures have passed, and now is the time to get 1-2 Bournemouth players in.

🥇 Semenyo: The best Bournemouth player to own currently. He has 4 goals and an assist despite playing against some of the toughest teams in the league. He also scored in GW11 vs. Man City, and in the next 6 GWs, he plays 3 of the worst defences in the league.

🔴 He is also now back from suspension, has had his much-deserved rest, and is ready to go for the festive period.

🥈 Evanilson: A great cheap forward option at £6.9m who is now starting games regularly for his team. He has 4 goals and 4 assists in the league this season. All his attacking returns have come in the last 6 GWs. He has scored in 3 consecutive games and looks to be in form. He also got 3 assists and became the player to win 3 penalties in one game in PL history.

🥉 Kerkez: Bournemouth defensively at home rank top 3 in almost every underlying stat. You could rotate him and play him only in home games.

3. Brighton

Brighton now have a run of incredible fixtures for at least the next 10 GWs, where they play all 3 promoted teams and only face Arsenal among the top 4 PL teams.

🥇 João Pedro: He has been very unlucky with injuries this season, starting just 3 games but scoring 2 goals in that time. He came on for a 25-minute cameo vs. Man City and single-handedly turned the game in Brighton’s favor with a goal and an assist. An incredible option at £5.8m but could see occasional benchings. Currently, he looks like their best attacker.

🥈 Welbeck: Looks to be in form since the start of the season. Hurzeler has turned him into a different beast since taking over. 6 goals and 2 assists this season—only Wood and Haaland have more points among forwards.

🔴 I don’t like Brighton’s defense at all, as I’ve been mentioning every week, so I couldn’t recommend anyone, not even the GK Verbruggen.

4. Chelsea

Chelsea have one of the best fixture runs of any team, lasting until GW25, where they play all 3 promoted teams.

🥇 Palmer: He is as close to a must-have as it gets. One of the first premium players, along with Salah, I would currently want in the team. 11 goals and 7 assists with 5 double-digit hauls already. He has been a talisman for Chelsea since last season. After 4 blanks in 5 GWs, he has finally picked up 3 goals and an assist, with incredible fixtures coming up.

🥈 Jackson: Jackson has 21 goals and 9 assists in 43 starts since joining Chelsea. He also has 7 goals and 4 assists this season. Among forwards, only Haaland has more attacking returns. Keep in mind that Jackson is on 4 yellows and could miss a game if he gets a 5th yellow. He was benched vs. Southampton, which was expected given the quick turnaround of games this festive period.

🥉 Rob Sanchez: He is one of the best GK options to get right now, especially on a wildcard.

5. Newcastle United

Newcastle United have been one of the most inconsistent teams this season, with their form and performances very hard to predict. They now have a decent run of fixtures that lasts until GW24.

🥇 Isak: He is the only Newcastle option I would consider. 6 goals and 3 assists in 13 starts. He also got a goal and an assist vs. Liverpool, who have the best defense in the league. Currently, I still prefer Jackson in terms of long-term fixtures.

6. Liverpool

Easily the best team in the world currently. Arne Slot’s side are playing like they’re on a walk in the park. They now have absolutely amazing fixtures ahead for both their attack and defense.

🥇 Salah: No explanation needed—just get him in your team and stick the captaincy on him vs. Everton. 10 double-digit hauls in 14 GWs, 4 consecutive double-digit hauls, and only 2 blanks all season.

🥈 TAA: He still doesn’t look like really good value, but the fixtures are absolutely amazing. He also took a lot of shots vs. Man City and almost scored. He was rested in GW14 and is ready to go vs. Everton, who have scored just 14 goals in 14 games.

🥉 VVD: If you can’t afford Trent and want a cheaper option most reliable for minutes, then it’s VVD. He hardly misses any games and has immense goal threat from set pieces. He came close twice vs. Man City with 2 incredible headers.

7. Wolves

A very underwhelming team so far, Wolves have been on the receiving end of everything. They are also one of the teams without a win, along with Southampton and Ipswich.

They had one of the worst runs of fixtures to start the season, but tides have turned, and they now have the best run of fixtures until at least GW17. During this time, they play all 3 promoted teams, along with Palace and Everton, who are also in the bottom 5 in the league.

🥇 Cunha: He has 7 goals and 3 assists in 11 starts this season. He is the best cheap forward to own. He is currently a hold despite not doing much in the last couple of GWs.

🥈 Strand Larsen: A decent option with a brace last GW, but I would still rank Cunha far ahead of him. I wouldn’t buy Larsen if you can afford Cunha.

🥉 Aït-Nouri: I wouldn’t consider buying Aït-Nouri anymore. He is a keep for the next 2 GWs and then a priority sell given Wolves’ defensive issues.

🔴 All Wolves players are a sell after GW17 as they have one of the worst fixture runs coming up.
