Want the FM24 UI with the FM26 teams and squads? Look no further! We’ve identified the 2 best database options to update your game now.
If like many you gave FM26 a try and it wasn’t your cup of tea then in all honesty, we get it. If you preferred the FM24 interface and would like to return to it, but still want all the updated players, teams and attributes, then this is the place for you. There are 2 main FM26 Database downloadable packs for the FM24 platform to choose from and honestly depending on where you land on the casual to hardcore scale, both options will have you covered.
Essentially, an FM26 Database for FM24 is exactly what it says on the tin. At its core, a custom database update takes FM24’s baseline data and overlays it with fresh, realistic 2025/26-era details: transfers, promotions, relegations, CA (current ability), PA (potential), and brand-new wonderkids. Why bother? Because using one of these means you don’t need to upgrade to FM26 if you prefer the FM24 UI. You preserve your UI, your familiar career mode, and your FM24 setup — all while enjoying the newness of FM26-level teams and players. It’s a way to extend FM24’s value and avoid some of the issues which the FM26 has brought with it.

What it offers: Sortitoutsi’s data update is the best on the market for updating your old squads. The core update (free) includes transfers, clubs’ league placement, and player movement — and it refreshes every ~20 minutes. On top of that, there’s an “Enhanced” version (paid) that adds dynamic CA/PA changes, meaning players’ attributes evolve more realistically as you download updates.
Cost: The free version gives you up-to-date transfers only. The enhanced version costs around £10 (or similar, based on community posts), which unlocks the attribute-update layer for both FM24 and FM26.
Why it’s powerful: Because it’s live, you can submit your own changes (or approve others’) — and once approved, they can appear in the update within 20 minutes. Static weekly updates are gone; now it’s real dynamic data.

What it offers: This is a free “DLC-style” set of .fmf files for FM24, curated by FMScout with help from notable modders. It includes:
A massive transfer update (260,000+ changes) by FMTransferUpdate.
Promotions/relegations and competition structure changes for many major leagues.
210+ new U21 wonderkids with high potential, added by FMScout.
CA and PA adjustments for existing players (by SirTAVARES), reflecting real-world progression.
Optional “start-mod” files (age hack + contract expiry hack, no injuries/suspensions) for custom saves.
Cost: 100% free to download. The core pack is “free DLC” created by the community.
Why use it: It’s comprehensive, completely community-driven, and doesn’t require any payment. It’s ideal for players who want everything bundled — squad updates, wonderkids, realistic PA/CA — without paying.
IMPORTANT: One issue which users have reported is that the fixtures, results, league winners etc have are all reset. As starting a new save with any of these databases on FM24 will still send you back in time to 2023. To combat this, we recommend pairing these downloads with Marcodoglio94‘s 2025/26 Real Fixtures and Results Pack to ensure you start from the right point and all league history, data and fixtures are up to scratch.

Here’s how you actually set either of these up in FM24:
Download
For Sortitoutsi: get either the free or Enhanced Data Update from their site.
For FMScout: download the FM24→FM26 DLC pack, which comes as a collection of .fmf files.
Place files in the “Editor Data” folder
On Windows: Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2024 > editor data
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2024/editor data
Make sure you don’t mix conflicting .fmf files from other mods.
Start a new career save in FM24
In the “New Game” screen, under Database, select your base (e.g., FM24 v24.3) plus all your custom .fmf files.
For FMScout’s pack, there are optional files you can tick on/off depending on how you want the world to start (e.g. +2 age, contract expiry).
Choose your leagues via Advanced Setup and hit start — the game will load with 2025/26 rosters, CA/PA, and new wonderkids.
Stay updated (Optional)
With Sortitoutsi: you can pull fresh updates whenever new data is released. Each download is essentially a “snapshot” of the live database, so your next save can feel even more up to date.
Pick Sortitoutsi if you want the most accurate, dynamic, up-to-the-minute simulation. Its live updates and evolving player attributes make each new save feel fresh. The small cost for the Enhanced version is a solid investment.
Go with FMScout’s DLC if you want a plug-and-play, free, and richly detailed conversion. You’ll get a full 2025/26 experience (squads, wonderkids, ability changes) without spending a penny.
