The short answer to this question is YES. There is no closing date for registration.

 

However you will start at a disadvantage of having missed an entire weeks worth of points.

That’s not to say these can’t be made up though, as 38 games is plenty of time to regain some ground on your mates.

There are also 0 penalties to entering a league late outside of missed points, so if you believe in yourself as an FPL manager and follow our regular game week tips, there is no reason you can’t still win.

There are in fact plenty of advantages to beginning in Game Week 2, not least having a clear idea of favoured starting line ups.

You will also not miss out on the global leader board which begins scoring in game week 2.

FPL does however have regular deadlines where teams must be officially registered by in order to rank on their global leader boards.

”While there is no closing date for Registration, and applications can be made throughout the Premier League season, the Premier League will publish deadlines from time to time by which you must be Registered as a Player in order to qualify for points awarded in respect of any round of matches in the Premier League competition. Any such information on how and when to enter for the Game forms part of these Terms and shall be binding on you.”

So don’t be phased at all about joining late. In fact, it will be even more embarrassing for your mates when you still win.
