Anyway, without further ado, lets get stuck into the best fixture runs to target for Gameweek 25.

Arsenal

Now even though Arsenal’s fixtures were already good, the fact they have a double in Gameweek 26 means they are absolutely THE team to target right now. Although to be honest you should have had them targeted already.

Best Assets:

  1. Gabriel Magalhaes – don’t need to go into too much detail here. The best defender in FPL.
  2. Jurrien Timber – Also a part of the best defence in the league but also leads all defenders in xGI. An underrated option at the back.
  3. David Raya – Was tough between him and Rice but I think the gap between Raya and other keepers is larger than the gap between Rice and similarly priced midfielders at the moment.

HMs: Rice, Saliba

Chelsea

Chelsea are a quarter of the way through their sea of green so this week is probably the last chance to fully board the Chelsea bus. Especially for defenders. Their defence didn’t look that sharp against West Ham but did look solid against Arsenal on Tuesday which has helped restore a little faith.

Best Assets:

  1. Joao Pedro – Even with the risk of reduced minutes against Wolves, he is in such red-hot form that I can’t see him not touching the pitch. The only scenario I can envisage in which he doesn’t see a healthy chunk of minutes is if he starts on the bench and Chelsea go up a lot early. However, given Wolves have conceded the least league goals in 2026, it may end up requiring some JP magic to break them down.
  2. Enzo Fernandez – Enzo takes the #2 spot for us for a few simple reasons. Not only does he have the 2nd highest xGI per 90 amongst all midfielders, but unlike Chelsea defenders, his fixtures don’t turn as bad in GW28. With Arsenal proving to be about the only good defence in the league right now, the Villa, City and United fixtures are all far scarier for a defender than attacker.
  3. Trevoh Chalobah – As mentioned before, Chelsea’s defensive performance against Arsenal should reinstate some confidence in their backline. Chalobah stands out as the pick of the bunch, given he has the best minutes, Defcon and is also a pretty decent threat from set-pieces.

HMs: Palmer, Cucurella, James, Sanchez.

Liverpool

With only the City fixture standing in the way before an unbelievable run, it’s safe to say a long-term Liverpool double up should definitely be on table. A triple up may be tricky until we can trust their defence a bit more, however.

Best Assets:

  1. Hugo Ekitike – Du Du Duuuuuu. Who else was going to take the top spot than Liverpool’s gunman in chief. Every time Ekitike is on the field he looks dangerous. With 10 goals and 2 assists in 15 starts, Ekitike is on great pace to finish the season strongly. Liverpool’s fixtures are unbelievable from GW26 right up to GW34, so who else but the star striker to prioritise buying.
  2. Florian Wirtz – Speaking of in form reds, Florian Wirtz has been proving himself to be another fantastic FPL asset. He now has 6 returns in his last 8 games and an xGI per 90 of 0.67 over the same period. He now has minutes, returns, xGI and fixtures going for him. All while being a lot lower owned than some of the other assets in this article.
  3. Ryan Gravenberch – surprisingly, Liverpool’s highest performing asset so far this season with 101 FPL points. This is in no small part down to a very strong start to the season and his occasional Defcon points. Gravenberch does most of his damage in Liverpool’s easier fixtures, where he has more license to shoot and attempt killer balls. Which are the exact sort of fixtures he’s coming into. His DefCon averages have also shot up in the 2nd half of his games, averaging 10.8 per 90 from GW13 to GW24 compared to just 8 from GW2 – GW12.

Bournemouth

Right, Bournemouth kept a clean sheet, it’s officially safe to buy all types of Bournemouth assets now not just attackers. I don’t care that it was against Wolves and the xGC was 1.4…shhhh. Let’s go. The reality is, Bournemouth have fantastic fixtures and are playing fantastic football, with only 1 loss in their last 6 to leaders Arsenal, where they still scored 2. As well as other impressive results including wins over Liverpool and spurs and a draw with Chelsea. Bournemouth currently sit 5th in the league for goals scored, with more than Liverpool. So believe their attacks is legit, even without Semenyo.

Best Assets:

  1. Kroupi Jr – Kroupi finds himself in the 1 spot for one overwhelming reason, his price. £4.7m is simply unheard-of value for a fantastic attacking player on a fantastic attacking team with fantastic attacker fixtures. The ideal 3rd attacker for any team. Keeps being mysteriously subbed around th e70 minute mark though so one to watch.
  2. Marcos Senesi – honestly it was pretty tight between Senesi and Kroupi for the 1 spot with the latter’s price just helping him pip it. Nonetheless, Senesi is still fantastic value. He leads all defenders in DefCons and is 2nd amongst all defenders for xGI, due to his role as deep lying playmaker in Iraola’s system. So when you add in clean sheets as a consequence of good fixtures, Senesi becomes a fantastic option.
  3. James Hill – essentially a Senesi lite. Hill has managed to hit Defcons in 5 of his last 6 games which is definitely good news moving forward. However, unlike Senesi he does not pose much attacking return potential in comparison. What he does possess, however, is a price tag which is £0.9m lower than Senesi’s. so if you can’t afford Senesi, hill is a great shout.

Crystal Palace

Still without a win since GW15, Palace’s luck has to turn round with some good fixtures, right? Right…

Either way their form does not change the fact that they have the perfect fixtures to snap out of it coming up.

Best Assets:

  1. Daniel Munoz – His time will come, of that I have no doubt. His ability to score points on both ends will essentially double his ceiling in the easier games during this run. Even with a big injury layoff he is still 4th amongst all defenders for toal xGI this season and offers an attacking threat unlike any other FPL listed defender.
  2. Ismaila Sarr – sarr’s has returned from AFCON to what can only be described as a bonfire. His attacking promise and presence of pens should provide a bit of optimism around his FPL prospects however. He could be a great option with that in mind but it will take a bit of improvement on Palace’s end to enter him into the elite asset category.
  3. Chris Richards – Chris Richards is the exact sort of what you see on the tin defender you expect. Good price, Good Defcon, Good fixtures but bad defence.

HMs: Lacroix

Man City

Once this Liverpool fixture is out the way, City are another team whose fixture slate becomes a sea of green. Despite a few hiccups in the last few weeks against both Spurs and Man united, City still look like the league’s best chance to chase down Arsenal.

Best Assets (Not including Haaland):

  1. Antoine Semenyo – Yes I went there, screw the minutes risk. Pep tends to do a lot of riding the hot hand when it comes to his roulette, and at the moment, that is Semenyo. He has enjoyed a red hot start to life at The Etihad and while his streak continues, it’s hard to see him not getting the lion’s share of starting minutes.
  2. Marc Guehi – Back in the DefCon column, albeit only just, was a positive sign for Guehi. With City’s great upcoming fixtures and the occasional Defcon or attacking return thrown in, Guehi projects for some healthy returns. His safe minutes make him an excellent option here.
  3. Gianluigi Donnaruma – Donnaruma is here in no small part down to his profile as the 2nd best keeper after Raya. All other top performing keepers have rotten fixture runs just round the corner. Pickford in GW27, Roefs from GW25, Kelleher from GW25 and Sanchez from GW28. If you are trying to minimise keeper transfers, which I always like to, but already have 3 Arsenal, which I also do, then Donnaruma is your man.

HMs: Cherki, Nunes.
