Which are the Most Popular teams to Manage in the Prem on FM26?

I asked people managing teams in the Premier League to tell me what teams you’re managing and boy did you deliver. In fact, I got so many responses that it eventually maxed out and I would have had to pay to get any more. People absolutely love filling out a poll/form don’t they. But why did I do this? Well this year they’ve removed the global leaderboard screen where you can see which teams are the most popular, so I had to get creative. Obviously, this isn’t a definitive guide, but it’ll give you an idea to which clubs are the most popular on FM26 in the Premier League. If this does well then I might expand it to different leagues and more. So, without further ado, let’s go from the least popular Premier League team to manage to the most.

Now if you are after a challenge, check out our Most Cursed FM26 saves!

20. Bournemouth (1.4%)
Bournemouth are incredibly small for a Premier League club and that’s reflected in how many people are managing them on FM26. A very exciting team in real life, but perhaps with the money they have it’s not much of a challenge anymore.

19. Burnley (1.5%)
In second to last place, we have Burnley. Unfortunately they’re in the relegation zone in this table and in real life.

18. Wolves (2.5%)
You know what Wolves fans, I’d take this! Still pretty low down, but at least you’re not rock bottom by 8 points.

17. Man City (2.7%)
It’s just too easy managing Man City on Football Manager. All the money, all the best players in the world. Where’s the challenge in that?!

16. Brentford (3.0%)
Not a huge fanbase so not too big a surprise here. The fact they’re not in last shows what an exciting project and interesting team they have currently.

15. Nottingham Forest (3.3%)
Surprised they aren’t higher. But maybe everyone is too scared to manage them because of their chairman.

14. Sunderland (3.5%)
Doing better in real life than they are in this list! You would not have expected that at the start of the season.

13. Newcastle (3.6%)
Well done Newcastle, you’ve won against your bitter rivals this time despite their recent resurgence.

12. Brighton (3.7%)

11. Aston Villa (3.8%)

10. Fulham (3.9%)

9. Crystal Palace (4.1%)
I wish Crystal Palace had been in 12th place.

8. Leeds United (4.6%)
The pride of Yorkshire. The greatest team in the world. Disappointing they’re not in 1st, but maybe it’s because they’ve already completed football and it’s just too easy at Elland Road.

7. Liverpool (4.8%)
Like Manchester City, they’re probably too easy to manage. But unlike Manchester City, they’re one of the biggest fanbases in the world which means you’re always going to get a few.

6. Spurs (5.9%)
Just missing out on Champions League football for Tottenham with this finish! Maybe they’ll get in by winning Europa League again!

5. West Ham (5.9%)

4. Everton (7%)
In to the top four. A gigantic institution and the allure of their new system was too much to resist for a lot of managers.

3. Chelsea (7.5%)
They have about 1 billion players. So the amount you can tinker with and try out is just immense at Chelsea. Just by selling half the squad you could probably have over 1 billion to spend. Even if it makes it easy, that’s a lot of fun for a lot of managers.

2. Arsenal (8.6%)
Arsenal have that enticing mix of an incredible squad and the fact they still haven’t won the Champions League, or the league for about 20 years. I’m going to bet there’s a lot of Arsenal fans who want to change that.

1. Manchester United (18.3%)
There was only going to be one winner and it’s Manchester United. Probably the second biggest club in the world and a team that is severely underachieving. It’s no wonder that they’re managed by so many people. There must be tonnes of Man Utd fans who (justifiably) think they can do a lot better than they’ve done in recent times.
