Need to gain rank fast? We list the best FPL Gameweek 13 differentials with huge upside and low ownership to shoot up your mini-league this week!
Ahhh the classic differential, the main rank gaining weapon of the engaged FPL manager. With so many premium assets faltering this year like Salah, Palmer, Saka, Isak etc. The door has been left wide open for differential ducking and diving, and for me personally, it has made it one of my favourite FPL season’s in a while.
The addition of Defensive Contributions has also helped this substantially. As we know have a plethora of more defensive minded players to choose from as well. With tactics like 5 at the back even entering the meta.
Now one issue with differentials can often be their minutes, so make sure you check in with our Predicted Line-Ups Hub to ensure all players are starting before bringing them in.
Also, if like me you are also on Free Hit this week, then make sure you check out our Gameweek 13 Free Hit draft for a great steer on players to target.
We’re assuming a differential is anyone with less than 10% ownership, so without further ado, let’s get straight into Gameweek 13’s Best differentials.
Ownership: 6.6%

I absolutely love Brighton and love this man at the moment. Brighton have only lost 1 of their last 8 and now take that form into 4 of the bottom 6 defences in their next 4 games. Minteh in particular is currently leading the prem for assists and operates at a healthy xGI of 0.4 per 90.
For only £6.1m, he could be a fantastic asset in weeks to come.
Ownership: 3.9%

Finally this man has actually raised in price! Another feature of our Gameweek 12 Differentials article. I will continue to include Richards in all differential articles until he is above 10% ownership.
He is currently 4th amongst all defenders for DefCons, which is elite. Palace have also kept 3 clean sheets in their last 3 games and now face Burnley Fulham and Leeds within their next 5. A truly great FPL option at the modest price of only £4.6m.
Ownership: 1.5%

Fine you caught me, I’m really high on Brighton at the moment. They have conceded only 1 goal in their last 3 games and now play Forest, Villa, West Ham and Sunderland in their next 5. Van Hecke himself is by far the best DefCon candidate of the Brighton defence as well averaging 9 a game. This clean sheet + DefCon combo is an absolute steal at only £4.4m and 1.5% owned. Particularly if you’re a few quid short of Richards.
Ownership: 0.8%

If there is one thing Harvey Barnes is, it’s a streaky scorer. So now is your chance to get ahead of his streak. With 4 goals in his last 4, Barnes’s recent performances have likely earnt him an extended run in Newcastle’s starting line-up. Not least given Gordon’s poor performances.
With an xGI per 90 of 0.61, higher than the likes of Mbeumo, Barnes could be in line for plenty more returns. Not least considering their fixtures and the return of Livramento and Hall to the starting line up. Barnes could be a very sneaky shout and it is why he will feature in our Gameweek 13 Free Hit Team as well.
Ownership: 3.8%

Now normally we wouldn’t be trusting Forest’s attack but when someone scores 3 goals in their last 3 its hard not to take notice. Now this could definitely be considered points chasing for sure IF Forest’s next 8 or so fixtures weren’t fantastic. Will his goalscoring form continue? Maybe not. But his underlying xGI per 90 of 0.42 over the last 5 games would suggest otherwise.
He now takes this form into Brighton, Wolves and Everton in their next 3. So should this form continue he could be a very useful asset.
