Haaland is the consensus, but is he the best? We break down the Best FPL Gameweek 13 Captains, including some elite differential options!
For those of you who captained Haaland last week, I can’t imagine his blank will waver your confidence in him much. But, if you are one of the few who it did or even someone just looking to gain some ground via EO then we have a few suggestions who could also come good.
In truth, I think there is actually a very healthy argument to be made for another striker should you own him.
Now make sure before locking in your Captain and Vice-Captain that you check in with our Predicted Line-Ups Hub. Some teams may be missing key players which could make captaincy decisions more or less appealing.

Anyway, without further ado, lets get into Gameweek 13’s Best Captains.

Despite conceding the 4th most goals in the league this year, Leeds are actually in the top 6 for lowest xGA. So who knows, maybe they’ve just been unlucky. We won’t say much more on Haaland’s captaincy appeal.

The Premier League’s 2nd highest goalscorer is probably the best option for those looking to go against Haaland this week. Burnley at home is the 2nd best fixture on every calendar, so what a time for the 2nd highest scoring striker in the league to play them. If I owned him *tiny violins play* I would be about 50/50 between him and Haaaland.

I know, I know, I hate it as well. But like it or not West Ham just weirdly feels like the sort of fixture where Liverpool just gets it together. With every other attacker’s minutes seemingly up in the air, Salah provides the safest route into that fixture. Admittedly though we completely understand not trusting any Liverpool player at the moment.

Now here’s one you probably didn’t expect. Brighton have been in imperious form, with only 1 loss in their last 8 games. Welbeck in particular has scored 7 in his last 7 and has showed no signs of slowing down. Despite a stellar win against Liverpool, Forest are still in the bottom 5 for Goals conceded and bottom 3 for xGC. A really nice differential captaincy option as a result.
I dare you.
