After waiting for over 2 years the newest installment in the Football Manager series is upon us with the FM 26 Beta (complete game launching on all platforms on November 4th) and so newcomers to the game and hardened veterans alike have a lot of new features, changes, and bugs to work through as we adjust to a new era from Sports Interactive when it comes to Football Manager. The response has been mixed after a few days of playing the Beta, but one positive is we can look through every clubs budget and attempt to figure out what the most fun saves will be to attempt based on winning with a low budget or if you are looking for easy success, what the largest budgets are so you can go and sign some superstars (you’re in for a shock when you see what the largest Premier League budget is).
The Premier League is by far the most profitable and marketable league in the world. The combined summer transfer window spending of Premier League clubs was more than every club from the other top 4 leagues combined. So of course this needs to be reflected in FM26, and in general the biggest transfer budgets are English clubs. Multiple Premier League clubs rank among the highest budgets in the game so if you are looking to blow some cash on some serious ballers, the Premier League might be the place to do that!

Brighton and Hove Albion not only have the biggest transfer budget in the Premier League but in the entirety of the game; the biggest transfer budget in Football Manager 26 belongs to Brighton! Crazy, but not so crazy when you do think about some of their player sales over the years including £60m+ for Marc Cucurella, £115m for Moises Caicedo, £50m+ for Ben White, £35m for Mac Allister and many others, often to Chelsea. They have been big spenders in the last two transfer windows, with Brighton found to be the biggest spenders in world football across that period according to a new CIES Football Observatory study. So it is not unrealistic for Brighton to splash the cash, so if that is the kind of save you are looking for, Brighton might be the team for you!
Arsenal are a glamorous London club with massive sponsorship deals and kits that sell tremendously well, but one thing they have never done is sold particularly well to balance the books. Their record sale is still Alex Oxlaide Chamberlain to Liverpool years ago and so when they spend nearly £400m in one summer while making barely any sales, it is not a surprise that they have a relatively small transfer budget of £23.7m in Football Manager 26.
